If you have been having issues accessing the online textbook, it looks like problems will be fixed soon. Here is a message I received from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt:
Since the 2012-2013 school year began, we have seen an all time, record-level
usage of our digital content delivered on HMOF (my.hrw.com). The challenge that has come with this wonderful
rise in demand for our products has been sufficient capacity to allow for a
successful and positive experience even despite ongoing performance tuning. Over
the past several weeks, we understand that you and your students have
experienced slow response time when using the digital content in our online
environments, including HMOF (my.hrw.com).
We strive to deliver our products with the highest quality, and as such have
taken this situation very seriously, immediately mobilizing a team to rectify
the situation. The enhancements were originally planned to rollout over the
December holidays. However, given the recent performance issues, the
solution will be installed Friday evening. There will be no disruption
to your access during this upgrade. Once the solution is in place, we will
continue to actively monitor HMOF (my.hrw.com) to ensure that it is working as expected and that
you and your students have the optimal experience when using HMOF (my.hrw.com) in your classroom.
We thank you for being
such a valued partner with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. If you have any questions
about the plan that is underway, please reach us at techsupport@hmhpub.com
or 1-800-419-3900.
