The First Africa Quiz is on Thursday and it will include a map portion of the countries in West & North Africa. You must prepare and create a good study source that works for YOU. Remember the options we went over for the map portion:
1. Flash Map (Blank map with numbers; answer key on back = A Giant Flash Card): Easy to make and looks exactly like the quiz
2. Flash Cards (Country on one side, Capital on back): Will help you study for the extra credit
3. Cut-Out or Shape Flash Cards (Cut the flash cards into the shape of the country or draw/tape the shape of the country on the flash cards): Great for visual, hands-on learners
4. Make a Rhyme, Song, or Story about the countries. Mr. Z still remembers how to sing "Fifty Nifty United States" that he learned in 2nd grade.
5. Use Stratalogica and take off "Labels" to make it into an interactive Flash Map.
6. Quiz yourself using the online games that are listed on the right side of my Blog Home Page. There is a section for countries and capitals. Use the Beginner options and make sure to study the correct regions.
